1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of software, services, and websites operated by CrashCatch Labs ("CrashCatch Labs", "we", "us", "our"), including the CrashCatch desktop application and the crashcatchlabs.com web service.
By downloading, installing, or using any CrashCatch product, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our products.
2. Beta Software
CrashCatch is currently in beta. Beta software is:
- Provided for evaluation and testing purposes.
- Subject to significant change, including changes to features, APIs, and pricing, without notice.
- Not recommended for production use without independent validation.
We may discontinue beta access, change beta terms, or transition to a paid model at any time. We will provide reasonable notice to beta users where possible.
3. Licences
CrashCatch Runtime (the crash capture and minidump library) is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. You may use, modify, and distribute it subject to those licence terms.
CrashCatch Analyze (the analysis engine, desktop UI, and cloud dashboard) is proprietary software. Your licence to use it is granted by your applicable subscription or purchase tier and is non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use CrashCatch to:
- Analyse crash dumps from software you do not have the right to inspect.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble CrashCatch Analyze (except where permitted by law).
- Upload malicious content (malware, exploits) to our cloud services.
- Circumvent any usage limits, authentication, or access controls.
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
5. Cloud Services
Cloud features (crash upload, aggregation, dashboards) are provided on a subscription basis. We reserve the right to:
- Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
- Modify, limit, or discontinue cloud services with 30 days' notice where feasible.
- Set reasonable limits on storage and upload volume per plan tier.
You are responsible for the crash data you upload. Do not upload data that contains personal information about individuals without appropriate consent.
6. Intellectual Property
CrashCatch, the CrashCatch logo, and all related branding are trademarks of CrashCatch Labs. You may not use our trademarks without written permission.
You retain all ownership of crash data, PDB files, and other content you upload to our services. You grant CrashCatch Labs a limited licence to process that data solely for the purpose of providing the service.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
CrashCatch is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the software will be error-free, that analysis results will be accurate, or that the service will be uninterrupted. Crash analysis is inherently heuristic — use it to accelerate your investigation, not to replace it.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrashCatch Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our products or services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
8. Payments and Refunds
Paid plans are billed in advance. Indie one-time licences are non-refundable after 14 days. Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time; no refunds are issued for unused periods. Annual subscriptions cancelled within 30 days of renewal may be eligible for a pro-rated refund at our discretion.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which CrashCatch Labs is incorporated, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email (for registered users) or by prominently posting the change on this page. Continued use of CrashCatch after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
